Anika Noi Rose is an American actress and performer, is an eminent name in the entertainment industry. She is best known for her role as Tiana the first Disney African-American princess In The Princess and the Frog. The film was awarded her the title of as a Disney Legend in 2011. Rose was in Lorrell Robinson, her character in the Academy Award winning film Dreamgirls. Anika Rose was born on the 6th of September, 1971. She is an American actor and singer. Her most well-known role is that of Tiana the Disney's first African American princess, in The Princess and the Frog (2009). The film was designated an official Disney Legend in 2011. The actress is also famous for her role in the lead role of Lorrell Robinson on the Oscar-winning Film Dreamgirls (2006) as well as for playing LaVerne Jukebox Ganner on The Starz series Power. She has also been recognized for her theatre performances, which include her lead roles as Caroline or Change Caroline or Change (2004) on Broadway in which she received the Tony Award was won for Best Actress in the Musical.
